It is time to get the XenApp Server configured, almost there!
Select Create a new server farm
Provide a new farm name and define the first Citrix administrator account
Since this is a first Server in our Domain and we have no other XenApp servers, we don’t have any databases, so we’ll need to create one. Here, we have two options, either we create a database local to the server using SQL 2008 Express or we can create a remote database on a dedicate SQL server cluster or Oracle server. In a large environment, it is recommend to use a dedicated SQL server, in fact, in a production environment, I’d opt for a dedicated server, however in my case, since it’s a lab, I opted to install the database locally
Enter the correct database credentials
Here, we have the option of enabling Shadowing of user sessions, I chose to include it
I chose to leave the defaults under advanced server settings, however in some environments, some of these options might need to be changed
We can now apply the configuration changes we just made
All done! We can now click Finish!
