I am looking to start a troubleshooting section for when I encounter issues during my preparation for the Citrix Certified Administrator exam. This would be a good place to document any issues that I might come across.
After successfully getting XenApp setup with all the permissions, web access, applications, etc. I’ve encountered an issue where I can’t seem to log into XenApp through the web interface. I encounter the following error
Upon further investigation, I came across the following event log:
After a quick Google search, it seems that the issue lies within the port configuration of the web XML file. When I configured the Citrix Website, I used the XML port 80. By changing that port to 8080, the issue now seems to be resolved. To change the port on the XenApp Web Sites is quite simple, we need to open the Citrix Web Interface Management and select XenApp Web Sites
Right click on XenApp site and select Server Farms
We now need to select our Farm and click Edit
Change the port to 8080 and click OK twice

Now when we try to log in, we should no longer have any issues
All of this could have been avoided had I installed the optional component which is XML Service IIS Integration. Because I did not do that, both IIS and the XML service were listening on port 80 so I had issues with the webpage.
